They are soft, chewy and perfect for dunking into a cold glass of milk!
Ingredients :
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 cups oatmeal
Directions :
First, cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar using a hand mixer.
Next, beat one egg into the mixture one at a time.
Then, stir the vanilla in and set bowl to the side.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon gently.
Gradually add dry mixture to wet mixture stirring as you go until completely combined.
Add two cups of oats and mix thoroughly.
Cover and refrigerate for minimum 1 hour.
After they can be baked at 375 degrees on a greased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes.
I recommend letting the cookies cool for about 5 minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring to a drying rack so they do not fall apart.
